Wow, 55 children from 55 Women

PARIS, KOMPAS.com - A man in Paris, France, registering 55 children from 55 different mother will undergo 10 years imprisonment and fines for alleged fraud. He is presumed to have been admitted as a father-admit the children and help people find shelter under false pretenses, police said on Friday (10/09/2010).
54-year-old male African origin, who was not identified by authorities, was arrested at a two-bedroom flat in Paris in a police raid. In the raid, police found documents showing that more than 50 people registered residing at that address.
Police suspect the man was involved in fraud to obtain social security in state money to dredge more than one million euros per year when the mother's claim. "Currently 42 women have been identified and each claims that he is the biological father of their children," Paris police said in a statement quoted by AFP.
Authorities said the man had confessed, he met with the women in bars, nightclubs, and sometimes a visit to their countries, like Senegal, Cameroon, and Mali. At a cost of 150-200 euros, he enrolled children and their mothers on the French authorities, which allows them to obtain a residence permit and claim social benefits.
Some women told the authorities that they have received until about 7500 euros in a variety of monthly allowance. "The investigation is in progress and the judge will decide whether DNA tests should be done to determine the father of the children," said a police spokesman.
